Other Piano Series

Super Studies is a series of levelled piano studies by Jen Smith Lanthier and Ian Green for developing elementary and late elementary pianists. Each study builds essential skills like coordination, articulation, finger strength, and rhythmic control through music that sounds engaging, not exercise-like. Super Studies work well as short technical repertoire, a supplement to method books, or performance-ready pieces that keep practice fresh and rewarding.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a Single User Licence and a Studio Licence?

A single user licence is intended for one pianist - perfect for an individual student or adult learner purchasing for personal use. A studio licence allows a teacher to print and use the book with multiple students across their studio. If you teach piano and plan to use the same book with more than one student, the studio licence is the right choice.

What ages are these piano books suitable for?

These collections are written for pianists of all ages and are intended to be non age-specific. The level descriptions (Primary, Elementary, Intermediate, and so on) refer to playing level rather than age, so the right book depends on where a student is in their musical journey, not how old they are. Be sure to look for the approximate grade levels in the description of each book. And if you're not sure, don't hesitate to reach out using the form on the Contact page.

How do I choose the right book for my student?

Start with the level descriptions and sample pages on each product page. The Voyageur Series is organized by grade level from Primary through Intermediate, making it easy to match a student's current exam or lesson level. The standalone collections like Ocean Tails, Animal Bus, Cottage Country, and Piano for the Planet each list their approximate grade range as well. Many collections also have video or audio samples for you to hear the pieces. If you are unsure, please reach out using this form.

How are the e-books delivered after purchase?

After completing your purchase you will receive a download link by email. The e-books are PDF files that you can save to your device, print at home (1 copy for personal use), or view on a tablet during lessons. Studio licence purchases allow you to print multiple copies for your studio.

Which pieces are included in the Conservatory Canada Contemporary Repertoire syllabus?

Several pieces from Ocean Tails, Animal Bus, Cottage Country, Wee Songs, Super Studies, and Voyageur are included in the Conservatory Canada Contemporary Repertoire syllabus across Grades 1 through 6. Individual product pages note which titles are syllabus-listed. There is also a full listing of included repertoire here. If you are preparing a student for a Conservatory Canada exam, these collections are a strong source of approved contemporary repertoire.
